Video Improv and Movie Games were created  to offer a challenging, fun, socially engaging way for people of all abilities  to rediscover each other and  their communities while making and screening improvised videos.    Video Improv Canada is the home of what will be the world’s first Video Improv League where all the teams compete in timed Movie Games. This is a great opportunity for sponsors to get in on the ground floor of shaping a new kind of creative sports league and all the product development and merchandising that comes with it.

This work has been recognized by industry leaders in Los Angeles.  Larry Jordan got in touch to find out more.  Here is a link to that interview:

We hope Video Improv Teams sprout in communities all over the place.  This web site can be a place to meet others who are interested in Video Improv and then arrange to meet up and form teams  and find teams to compete with.   This is all at the infancy stage now.  You will be able to register for a free membership when we are ready.

Site-Wide Activity

Imagine a new kind of creative sport you can play with a video camera.   Video Improv is a kind of sport where people can compete in various kinds of Movie Games.     You form a Video Improv Team, learn how to play Movie Games, and then you meet up with other teams and compete.   Learn more about Movie Games.  Click HERE

These videos were all made by participants in a series of Video Improv Leadership Workshops in Nova Scotia.
The idea was to train leaders to get more men and boys engaged in talking about and ending gender violence.
The project was initiated by Chrysalis House and Juniper House with generous support from Status of Women Canada.
